Derrick Waddell
Derrick Waddell is the Instructional Technology Support Specialist for Cullman County Schools. Having been a teacher and school technology coordinator for seven years, he has seen firsthand the benefits of technology in the classroom.
In 2004, Derrick received a BS in Secondary Education Language Arts from the University of North Alabama. Since that time he has taught English at all high school grade levels, drama, technical theatre, television production, and computer applications classes. In 2010, Derrick was honored with the Chiquita Marbury Technology Innovation Award at the Alabama Educational Technology Conference. In May of 2012, he received an MA in Educational Leadership and is currently pursuing an EdS in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He now works supporting instructional technology at the district level.
Derrick is a Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer and an Apps CT South Regional Leader. He provides small and large group training sessions for teachers, students, or administrators who are looking to implement Google Apps for Education.
